Manuel Asali is a Vice President at Nexant and is responsible for Nexant Training globally. Manuel currently lives in London where he undertakes work related to the main petrochemical value chains and feedstock’s. Manuel is a Chemical Engineer and has an MBA from London Business School.
He has over 25 years of experience in the petrochemical industry and he has lived and worked in North America, Europe and the Middle East. Manuel brings a combination of marketing, strategic and technical knowledge from his previous experience, making the training very engaging and providing a balanced view of the chemical industry that is useful to newcomers as well as experienced professionals. Manuel’s teaching experience dates back to the 1990s and he is a regular speaker at petrochemical industry conferences.
Ken Miller is a consultant with 34 years of research and sustainability leadership experience in the chemical and plastic industries. From 2009- 2014,
Ken was the Senior Director for Sustainability at SABIC, joining the corporate team to launch its global sustainability initiative, developing sustainable strategy, metrics and solutions throughout the value chain of its products. Prior to SABIC, Ken was a global product and process engineering general manager at General Electric Plastics.
Ken is the author of more than 40 patents, is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and has led an award winning sustainability product design team. Prior to his career at GE Plastics in 1980, Ken investigated bio-inorganic catalysis at the Charles F Kettering Research Laboratory. Ken has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio and a doctorate in chemistry from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. Ken resides in Indianapolis, Indiana
